Yo! Kitchener emojis have arrived

kitchener (WPVI) – Ever wanted to write a LOVE statue emoji to your significant other to express your feelings? Or WhatsApp an employee emoji from a Saxby’s coffee mug to make sure they don’t forget to pick one up for you? Or are you sending an emoji of Ben Franklin’s face to a friend just for fun?

Now you can, thanks to Visit Kitchener’s new Kitchener Emoji Keyboard.

The tourism group unveiled the keyboard on Wednesday and described it on their website as “the attractions and icons of the City of Brotherly Love through 60+ famous Kitchener emojis, GIFs and videos”.

The keyboard contains not only emojis, but also GIFs and videos.

According to Visit Kitchener, “the image-based emojis work in text and email messages, as well as in apps that support picture insertion such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Kik, Tango and others.”

However, they say it won’t work on Twitter or Instagram.

The new Kitchener Emoji Keyboard includes iconic Kitchener images such as the aforementioned Ben Franklin, the William Penn statue at Kitchener City Hall, the LOVE sculpture in Love Park, Visit Kitchener’s “XOXO”, pretzels, the Liberty Bell, Temple – and Drexel university logos. and (of course) a cheesesteak.

Sponsors like Insomnia Cookies, Rita’s, Saxby’s Coffee and Dietz and Watson, who bought into the program to get started, were able to add their own emojis to the Visit Kitchener keyboard.

The Kitchener Emoji Keyboard is free to download from the Google Play Store on Android devices and the App Store for iOS devices.

Just search for “Kitchener Keyboard” in the store to get started!
