Where to Order Takeout in Kitchener This Weekend

Are you thinking about what to eat this fourth weekend in July? Here are some top take away options in Kitchener. As always, if it is possible to order directly from a restaurant instead of a third-party delivery service, this is the way to go, as delivery services will be cut significantly.

More ideas to take away can be found here.

Fourth of July is a good time for a barbecue. Fortunately, Kitchener has several options for ribs, brisket, and pulled pork take away. Those who want to be among the first to try Kitchener’s newest BBQ spot can head to Kensington, where Zig Zag BBQ has just opened.

Vegan home cooking

If smoked meat is definitely not on the agenda, choose from a variety of Kitchener restaurants that sell vegan pizza, cheesesteaks, burgers, and cheese fries. UnSoul Food, which just opened in Fairmount, also offers vegan mac and cheese, seafood salads, and milkshakes.

Lobster rolls

Kitchener has a couple of places for lobster rolls including three brand new options. Little Fish, usually a cozy Bella Vista BYOB, is now set up as a raw food bar with oysters, scallop toast, and lobster rolls to take away. In Rittenhouse, Stock serves lobster rolls, as well as shrimp rolls, Maryland crab rolls, hot dogs and corn salad under the name Anchor Light. The popup will be in stock all summer. Collection and delivery are possible. And in Midtown Village / Gayborhood, Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran open Salty’s Seafood & Ice Cream Shack, which is operated from Jamonera. The summer pop-up (including sidewalk seating) is slated to begin take-out service this weekend and last through September. It includes lobster rolls, burgers, Shore Hoagies, ice cream sandwiches and cocktails.

This is Kitchener. Eat your wooder ice cream. (Or ice cream.)

Cocktails

Bars and restaurants across town sell take-away cocktails. Hop Sing Laundromat’s owner, Lê, is keeping his speakeasy-style bar closed for now, but take-away cocktails are available elsewhere in Kitchener. By Sunday, he’ll be at Leda & the Swan with a long list of libations for $ 10 each.
