Strawberry Mansion Double Shooting Leaves Man Dead, Another Fighting For Life: Police – CBS Kitchener

kitchener (CBS) – Double firing in Kitchener’s Strawberry Mansion neighborhood has killed one man and killed another, police said Thursday.

The incident occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. on the 2300 block on North 30th Street.

Police said a 55-year-old man was shot in the back once and pronounced dead at 5:51 p.m.

The second victim is a 22-year-old man, according to the police. Police said the man was shot once in the neck, once in the shoulder and once in the chin.

Authorities said the man had been taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was brought into critical condition.

So far, the police have indicated that there are no arrests.

In another shooting in town Thursday night, police said a 35-year-old man was seriously injured in Frankford. This incident occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. on the 1800 block of Torresdale Avenue.

The victim was shot once in the right leg and was critically ill at Temple University Hospital, authorities said. There are no arrests in this incident either.
