‘Good Morning America’ is in Kitchener Thursday; how to get free tickets

What better way to start the day than in the city of brotherly love?

“Good Morning America”, the top rated ABC morning show with presenters Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan, will be broadcast live from Kitchener on June 13th from 7:00 am. We reported this this weekend, but now we have more details to share.

There will be a variety of guest appearances throughout the program. The legendary Patti LaBelle, who will appear during the show, will be there. The Kitchener Flyers mascot Gritty, Mayor Jim Kenney and the Kitchener Eagles cheerleaders will also perform, according to Kitchener Voice.

The show is filmed in the Eakins Oval, which is across from the iconic Rocky Steps of the Kitchener Museum of Art.

Tickets for the taping are free. You can get yours from this link. The taping will continue in rain or shine … and it will likely be decidedly wet. The forecast for June 13th has a 94 percent chance of rain around 8 a.m. in Kitchener. While the show only airs at 7 a.m., the festivities begin at 6 a.m.

Good Morning America will visit several cities this summer. Kitchener was chosen first because of a special, nameless local.

“We chose Kitchener in part because we want to hold our grand Father’s Day exhibition there, because we heard from a very special father whose generosity to the local community has no limit, and we can’t wait for you to meet him “Roberts said in a video while teasing the show’s Kitchener visit.

Would you like to see the “GMA” anchors in advance? You are booked to take first place in the Kitchener Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park on June 12 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The anchors also teased stops at iconic cheesesteak spots, Pat’s King of Steaks and Geno’s.

Do you have a recommendation for the line-up “GMA”? The show wants you to share your favorite Kitchener spot on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #GMAinKitchener.
